"I never had a choice when it comes to you. I don't just want you, I need you."
April's story picks up from where it had ended in April Showersyou know, the fire, the house burning down, Lukas being trapped inside and being rescued by the firefighters? Yeah, remember all of those? It's just a shocker for me, though, during that scene in April Showers. It was terrifying. Good thing I have the second book ready so my curiosity wasn't much bugged by my innocent mind. And to top it off, the story is short. Shorter than I expected, compared to the first book.

As soon as I opened the book, er, my Kindle, technically, I am welcomed by the sheer smoothness of Isaac's voice (well, can you blame me? I've been experimenting on how his voice will sound) and to let you all know, it's very sexy! [Well, not really.] I was actually welcomed by April's tears while she watched Lukas lying in bed, then there comes Lukas' voice. And even though I'm Team Isaac all the way, it hurts to see Lukas that way. *sigh* why things like those happen to people. Though he was rejected by April, he never failed to care about her and that was just so sweet. In here, we all knew that April already chose Isaac over Lukas because, as we all know, they look good together. Even better. Such perfect little couple they are.

During the course of the story, April was visited by his brother, Brody, who seemed to be a magnet of girls. He's the exact opposite of the clean April but they sure share the same mind. I like Brody so much. He's protective about his sister and I like how he can read her like an open book. He doesn't do girlfriends but he seems to be in love with *insert name here!* and I can just imagine them. Really cute, with their opposite attitudes and likes, and wow, they're really exact opposites is all that I can say about them. I love them, love seeing them together.  He has a clever mind but can be very serious at times. I wonder about a Spin-off, maybe?? Because, my gods! They're soooo adorbs! I didn't even thought about them when he started appearing out of nowhere and everywhere! They should make it work and move it! :3
"I remember the last football game of the season, not because we won but because of you. I remember the way my heart sped up when I saw you. I remember your face right before you walked away from me. I remember how numb I felt for days afterwards. I remember how you told me that you would fight for us. I let myself down that day and I won't let it happen again. Thank you for not giving up on me."
Okay, okay. I want to share something. And it's really good, sexy, and fun[ny]. And sweet. HAHAHA! I kept on replaying that chocolate painting scene, which was really fun for their part. Funny and giggly, and all-smiles for me part. It was also here that I knew about forever. And how April hated and feels about losing. And how Isaac gets jealous about a fictional guy (not literally, but, yeah, I think he was. He wasn't just showing it).

* I warned you, okay. I did said it was my favorite part, though, and I enjoyed it so much and I just want to show you and see if you'll love it as much as I do. Alright, I'll apologize as early as now ((: *

The whole story was another experience after the heart-breaking April Showers. The story revived the love at first sight that started it all. I found this book more promising than the first becase (I don't know if anybody experienced this) I felt really hopeless with Isaac in the first book. He was ultimately shut-off and that was a wow for me. Here, you'll also get to meet Abbie. And more Abbie. Which just freaking irritates me. I almost hold a grudge on her. Good thing she's a freaking fictional character. Because I swear, god forbid or not, I'd strangle her with my own hands if she did not stop what she was doing. She infuriates me so so much, you'd see steam coming from my ears. LOL.

In here, a new and improved relationship blooms. Discovering who did what, and all. Defining trust, not jumping into conclusions, and all that surely ruins a perfect relationship, and a newly developed friendship [I'd never even imagined happening]. And don't forget! More chocolate for a late night treat. And tease.
"My reality is much better than any love story."
The ending. We're going to talk about the ending that made my eyes blurry. And it includes tiny strips of papers. And it was perfect. Very artistic. It welled my eyes. When I think about the ending, this ending, I remember lanterns, tensed muscles, mud, running, bumping, wood carvings, late night dances, and pretty much sweet things. I'm melting. It's overflowing with sweetness and I can't take anymore. And then you'd soon realize the sad part. There will be no more Katie that started the laughing parts, her clever mind that seems to run endlessly and gives the story a burning flame that keeps it in motion. Or Brody, that keeps sisters safe and protected, or even Isaac. Sweet, sweet, Isaac that will protect you forever, whatever may come your way. It's just sad right? But having a Happily Ever After of an ending—(eg. finding your husband to be or being with your soulmate, being in love with your best friend, spending the rest of your life with the person you love) seems like a good way to go.

The final conclusion that tops it off promised of pure and endless happiness. That after every storm or rain or whatever, is a colorful rainbow and that every dark cloud has a silver lining. Mistakes get paid off, and honesty and trust are big on relationships (more like a foundation). Karli Perrin wrote an exquisite story that will surely try to catch your heart and will melt your stony heart.

Way better than the first! :D
