During her senior year in high school, Maddie Burch promised herself not to ever fall for a cute guy – or any guy – again. Cute guys are players and not to be trusted, a fact she learned the hard way when her first boyfriend ran her heart through a paper shredder. Two years later, her promise is still intact, and she’s determined to make it through college without falling victim to another creep. She has her job, school and The Guys Are Props Club to keep her mind and hormones in check.

The club was founded by Jessica, Maddie’s best friend. It is a sisterhood of girls who have fallen prey to heartless jerks and who have vowed to turn the tables. Once a semester, Jessica requires members to “do onto others as they’ve done unto you.” Setting the example, Jessica’s next play is Sebastian Capello, a theater major with heartthrob looks and a flair for Latin dance, whose heart she plans to break the way hers was once broken.

What the friends don’t know is that Sebastian is different. Despite his perfect looks and popularity, he’s not a jerk. He doesn’t play games to get his way. Instead, he keeps it real and goes after what he wants with honest intentions. And what he wants is not a bombshell like Jessica, but a down-to-earth girl like Maddie – even if it causes a riff in the girl’s friendship. Even if it means getting Maddie to break her personal vow.

*** Due to language and sexual situations this book is recommended for ages 17 and older.***
Sebastian turned to look back at me. We stared into each other’s eyes until he asked, “Why are you afraid of letting me in? Did someone hurt you before?”

Breaking eye contact, I sat up and hugged my legs to my chest.

Rule No.8: Never share your secrets with a player. He will only use them to his advantage.

I've been out and about doing this review for a while now since I have finished reading the book. I've been so busy when Ingrid emailed me and sent me the book, and well, I still have not found the time to read the book then. The time ran slow and Dianne (thanks to the tweet that I've read) was holding the tour. Since I'd be reading the book anyway, I decided to join in. And yeah, this happens. (:

I took the time reading the book, actually.  Like I've read it a month or three weeks before the tour and I loved it like really loved it! I actually felt the college “feels” since I'm in college and the things... It was the oh-so-awesome-love sensations you don't want to miss! I couldn't get over it in two wide weeks! It was like its real and I can actually feel it. I'm blabbering. I know! Can this feeling just get better?? ((=

So, as I was reading the book, I can't help but be swooned by Sebastian Capello. He's really cute and fun and everything that a girl wants in a guy. He's ultimately sweet and amazing. Did I mention that he's a freaking magician? Well, he is!
" Even when I found the most amazing man, a man who seemed to care about me, something about me wasn't good enough to keep him from leaving." - Ingrid Seymour, The Guys Are Props Club.
College is such a busy and serious thing to care about. Especially when you're after the scholarship. Maddie tried and did her best to concentrate with her studies, forget the guy who betrayed her, and not to fall in love again. Not until she met Sebastian Capello. When he came barging in the hall while The GAP Club was holding the meeting, she thought that he was just some random, flirty guy who gets to play with girls.

Soon, Sebastian tried to get to her, invite her to clubs, dance with her, and ask her out. She then falls for him and worries he might know about the club and might thought that she was Playing him. One day, she was ready to tell him the truth, because honestly, he was after Honesty. Everything didn't end well and voila, I cried over the following scenes.

The best part for me was Hunter's birthday. I get to really feel the emotions and it was heavy, like it was happening to me. That slap-in-the-face feels. Ugh! I wanna cry. It was overwhelming and it was sweet and it hurts so much I really felt broken. It was a massive roller coaster ride and I have to actually stop and flush down the feelings first! I wish I could say more besides all the lovey feelings I felt. Hihihi! I just can't force myself to say more besides it's beautiful and very surreal! Love happens when you least expect it.

It's very bold, a roller coaster ride of emotions, interestingly beautiful and sweet. Nothing beats teenage love!

"No matter how hard I've tried or how badly I want to," he said, "I haven't been able to stop thinking about you." - Ingrid Seymour, The Guys Are Props Club

It was beautiful! I liked it but something's really missing!
4 stars for the amazing lady who wrote this!

And now, the most amazing part!
